Peach City Radio Elects New Board
November 15, 2016 by CFUZ

The Peach City Community Radio Society held its 2016 Annual General Meeting on Monday November 14 at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre.

Outgoing President Dave Del Rizzo gave a presentation of financials, budget and a 'State of CFUZ' address, which outlined the many amazing achievements of the Society and its volunteers over the past year. As a part of the report, former Board member Laurel Burnham presented the Society with a donation of $4,000 from the Okanagan Makers organization, in return for CFUZ volunteers assisting with the admission at their recent Christmas Fair held at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

Over 25 members were present at the meeting, and took part in elections which saw 3 new members step up to Board positions, along with a shuffle of a few other board members. The Society would like to welcome incoming President Jackie Del Rizzo and Vice President Claire Thompson! Dave Del Rizzo stepped down as President, and became the new Volunteer Director for the next 2 year term.

The Society would also like to welcome Lydia Frederick as our new Membership Director for a 2 year term, as well as Suzanne Mackinder as our new Communications Director, and Andrew Drouin as a Director at Large, both for 1 year terms.

Keep yourself tuned to this space for information about the plans for the new year by our new Board of Directors!
