Listen Up! Welcomes Katie Jensen

The next event in the CFUZ Listen Up! Speaker Series takes place on Friday, February 16, 7pm at the Okanagan College Lecture Theatre in Penticton BC. Peach City Radio is excited to welcome Katie Jensen to give a talk entitled "How To Trick People Into Learning: Using Humour in Podcasting".

Katie is a freelance producer who has worked on podcasts for CANADALAND, The Imposter, Polaris Music Prize, Motherboard, Appcanary, Metro News, The Atkinson Foundation, and St. Joseph Media. Her work has been featured on Best of iTunes 2015 and 2016. She produces and helped develop The Secret Life of Canada, a history podcast that hit #2 in Canada and was listed as New and Noteworthy after its debut episode. She’s the creator of a PWYC, inclusive podcast workshop series and has been featured in Now Magazine, Metro News, Brit + Co, and Broken Pencil Magazine. She has spoken about new media at Bloor Hot Docs Podcast Fest, World Radio Day, NCRA, CAJ, Bechdel Tested, and Pop Montreal.
