Peach City Radio is Streaming Online
February 3, 2014 by CFUZ

Last week, Peach City Radio officially announced its online stream to the community of Penticton. Here is an excerpt from the media release sent to outlets in the area:

"Although FM broadcasting is the overall goal, Peach City Radio plans to provide a concurrent online stream for web-based listening. The group is pleased to announce that the stream is available now at www.peachcityradio.org . Listeners can simply click on the LISTEN NOW button on the front page of the website to hear scheduled programming, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The community radio society announced a soft launch of their online stream in late 2013 and have been monitoring the service and taking in feedback since then. Dave Del Rizzo, Peach City Radio President and chair of the Programming Committee, is pleased with the quality of the stream. "The time and effort we have put into establishing this online stream of programs will benefit us when we eventually come to broadcasting an FM signal. In the meantime, we hope to offer listeners the opportunity to sample what Peach City Radio might eventually sound like. There are a lot of great programs being created by our members that anyone can hear via our online stream, and listen to via our website program archive as well." Tuning in to Peach City Radio's online stream gives listeners access to a wide range of programs - the majority of which are locally produced. Along with music programs - many that feature local artists, there are spoken word shows that highlight local talks, people and events, and the station has just begun airing Democracy Now! on weekdays, which is an international public affairs show."

We are hopeful that all of our supporters take some time to listen to our online stream, and provide us with some feedback, so that we can work to make Peach City Radio the best it can be for our community!
