Want to know what Penticton could be like with community radio? Join us for a talk on Friday November 21, 7:00pm at the Ramada Conference Centre - with Myke Atkinson.

Myke is currently the Station Manager at CJSW 90.9 FM, Calgary's only community radio station based on the University of Calgary campus. He has been a member of the station for the last thirteen years holding a number of different positions including News Executive and Music Director, along with hosting various programs throughout his time at the station. He currently hosts the Friday morning drive show "Big Friday" on which he is a nerdy hype-man for various beats and science news. The program was the most successful during this year's Funding Drive, raising over $22,000 for the station in four hours.

Myke will speak to us about how community radio benefits a community. His enthusiasm for campus and community radio is absolutely infectious, and we would like to give Penticton an opportunity to hear about his experiences, having managed one of Canada's most successful stations for the past number of years.

This is open to all - admission is by donation, and free to Peach City Radio members.
